New Deer Farmer Seminars Set for 2016 NADeFA Conference

The North American Deer Farmers Association (NADeFA) announces that it has finalized the New Deer Farmer Seminar schedule for the 2016 NADeFA Conference in Tulsa, Okla. on March 16-19, 2016. The NADeFA New Deer Farmer’s Seminar, hosted by the Cervid Livestock Foundation, has been a highly acclaimed event for the annual conference and the program is specially formatted to provide important information to deer farmers who are new to the cervid industry.

The 2016 New Deer Farmers Seminar will be held on March 16, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and its itinerary will include: Handling Facilities by Len Jubenville, Deerstore.com; Regulations by Dr. Clifford Shipley, University of Illinois; Nutrition by Dr. Greg Stewart, Southern Veterinary Services; Herd Health Programs by Dr. Douglas Wagner, Newport; Remote Anesthesia by Blair Soars, Pneu-dart; Genetics by Scott Kent, Gene’s Place; Marketing by Kevin Grace, Whitetail Sales & Service; and What Hunting Ranches Want by Donald Hill, Oak Creek Ranch.

The North American Deer Farmers Association, founded in 1983, is dedicated to the promotion of deer farming and ranching as an agricultural pursuit and serves its members through its educational programs and publications and by providing leadership in setting and maintaining quality standards.
