North American Deer Farmers Association Hosts Birmingham Conference

CANTON, Ohio — The North American Deer Farmers Association (NADeFA) announces its Annual NADeFA Conference & Fundraiser will be held on March 19, 2014, through March 22, 2014, at the Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center in Birmingham, Ala. The event, sponsored in part by the Alabama Deer Association, will welcome thousands of deer farmers and industry experts from across the country, as well as host exciting fund-raising auctions, venison competition and educational seminars.

In addition to showcasing hundreds of deer farm operations and the industry’s top products and services, the NADeFA Conference is highly acclaimed for its comprehensive educational programs that feature informative presentations by university researchers and industry experts from the United States and Canada on such topics as animal nutrition, herd welfare, disease testing and prevention, genetics, tranquilization, and more.

The annual NADeFA Conference & Fund-Raiser features multiple auctions that offer whitetail and exotic hunts, firearms, jewelry, handcrafted home furnishings and many other exciting items. The North American Deer Farmers Association was founded in 1983 and is dedicated to the promotion of deer farming and ranching as an agricultural pursuit and serves its members through its educational programs and publications and by providing leadership in setting and maintaining quality standards. NADeFA represents the deer farming industry at all levels of government, and works closely with livestock producers and other organizations to promote ethical standards of conduct and husbandry in deer farming and to actively market standards for deer and deer products.
